Mandy McCook Smith, PA-C
Born and raised in Waycross, GA, Mandy graduated from Ware County High School in 1996 and Valdosta State University in 2001 with a B.S. in Biology. Mandy moved to Cumming, GA, where she worked with Dr. Alex Gross, Dermatology, who is now the President of the Georgia Composite Medical Board, for over two years. She went on to graduate from The Medical College of Georgia as a Physician Assistant.
Mandy began her career in Hospitalist Medicine at St. Vincent’s, Jacksonville, FL, where she worked more than seven years. During that time, she also held position at Natural Look Medical Spa and Youthful Health Spa specializing in Neurotoxins, Fillers and Aesthetic Procedures.
Returning home to Waycross, Mandy was honored to care for her hometown folks through Family Medicine for over five years before she accepted a position in Emergency Medicine and Hemodialysis in Valdosta, GA.
Mandy’s pride and joy comes from her family. Her husband, Blake Smith, and their five amazing children. Stetson and Molly Smith, Spencer, Braxton, Colton and Stella, and granddaughter, Adley Claire. Add in the two energetic dog-members of the family, Bentley & Kirby, and life is always an adventure! Her parents, Roger and Sheran Strickland, make her crazy life possible with their constant support and encouragement, and especially helping with all the sports runs and dinner plans. Mandy enjoys time outdoors (as long as it’s warm), spending time with friends and family, anything active and GA FOOTBALL! GO DAWGS!
Mandy is so excited for the opportunity to come home and offer this opportunity for personalized care to her family, friends and “her people”. Doing what she loves for those she loves - where she loves!
